The raffle and silent auction proceeds support the Section’s commitment to provide student programs and scholarships supporting student involvement and attendance at professional development events.
Raffle tickets will be sold by TWS-WS board members & designated volunteers from the start of the conference up to the “last call” or when tickets are sold out. For more detailed information, please come to the Raffle/Silent Auction table where all raffle and silent auction items will be available for viewing.
This year we will be holding two raffles and one silent auction. The first raffle will be conducted at the Members’ Banquet where we will hold our first ever Dutch Raffle (aka bucket raffle); each item has a bucket and ticket holders drop tickets into the buckets of the prizes they would like to win.
The second raffle will be held at our Thursday Evening Poster Session; this raffle is a traditional raffle where all the tickets are drawn out of one drum.
The Silent Auction will be available for bidding throughout the conference until close on Friday Morning during the morning break.
Need not be present to win. However, prizes will not be mailed and must be picked up and silent auctions paid for by the winner (or a proxy) before 12:30pm on Friday when the conference closes. We reserve the right to award a silent auction item to the next highest bidder if payment or pickup is not completed by closing time Friday at 12:30pm.
