The SERCAL Riparian Guild is partnering with the Sacramento-Shasta Chapter of the Wildlife Society on this symposium to foster collaboration between wildlife ecologists and restoration ecologists on the topic of habitat restoration for sensitive wildlife species and communities. The symposium will consist of 1 day of presentations from leading wildlife and restoration ecologists. The symposium will cover the habitat requirements for certain wildlife species and communities, the design strategies to restore target habitats, and lessons learned from implementation and monitoring. Species and communities to be covered at the symposium will likely include Riparian Habitat and Riparian Bird Communities, Freshwater Wetlands, Tidal Wetlands, California red-legged frog, California tiger salamander, and giant garter snake.
