California Botany for Wildlifers
California Botany for Wildlifers
March 25-28, 2022. Marina, CA
Through lecture and field outings, our goal is to equip the wildlife biologist with a more comprehensive understanding of their own field by exploring the basics of botany. We will practice habitat mapping, discuss the ins and outs of regulation, and explore resources available to biologists interested in plants. You’ll get a crash course in invasive species, use terms for explaining plant parts, and leave with an appreciation of how knowledge of plants can enrich wildlife surveys.
